Features

Easy-to-use

Just Fill, Wear & Go with V-Go.

Apply one V-Go patch pump, once per day. A steady rate of insulin is released over 24 hours (basal) for all day and all night glucose control.  Then just ‘click’ to deliver mealtime insulin (bolus) when needed.1 No batteries, tubing or programming required.

So discreet

Nobody will know you’re using it – even at mealtimes – helping make sure you don’t miss a dose. It can be worn on the back of your arm, abdomen, back or thigh.1

Helps you manage your diabetes

Managing multiple injections of insulin each day can be hard. With insulin injections, remembering all of the supplies when leaving the house or removing yourself from the moment to take an injection can be frustrating. V-Go can help to simplify your life and provide even greater blood sugar control than multiple insulin injections each day.2,3

*A U-100 fast-acting insulin should be used with V-Go. Humalog® and NovoRapid® have been tested by Valeritas, Inc. and found to be suitable for use in V-Go.

Important Risk Information: Always read the label and use only as directed. If regular adjustments or modifications to the basal rate of insulin are required in a 24-hour period, or if the amount of insulin used at mealtimes requires adjustments of less than 2-Unit increments, use of the V-Go Insulin Patch Pump may result in hypoglycaemia. The following conditions may occur during insulin therapy with V-Go: hypoglycaemia (low blood glucose) or hyperglycemia (high blood glucose). Other adverse reactions associated with V-Go use may include skin irritation from the adhesive pad or infections at the infusion site. If symptoms persist, please contact your healthcare professional. V-Go should be removed before any magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) testing. A healthcare professional should be consulted to see if this product is right for the patient.

How it works

V-Go is designed to fit easily into your life. V-Go works by releasing tiny amounts of insulin continuously all day and night using just fast acting insulin. It delivers small amounts of insulin continuously, and with just a click of a button, you can get the mealtime insulin you need without any additional injections.

You simply place a filled V-Go on your skin, press a button to insert a small needle, and you are ready for your day. Click 2 other buttons to deliver insulin at mealtimes. With each click for mealtime insulin, V-Go delivers 2 units of insulin. You can click as many times as you need for your mealtime dose up to 36 units a day. Wear V-Go for a full 24 hours, then remove and replace it with a new filled V-Go.

Please note: Your healthcare professional will discuss whether or not V-Go is right for you. You will be required to complete full product training before starting use with V-Go.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does it work?

V-Go is designed to fit easily into your life. V-Go works by releasing tiny amounts of insulin continuously all day and night using just fast acting insulin. It delivers small amounts of insulin continuously, and with just a click of a button, you can get the mealtime insulin you need without any additional injections.

How do you use it?

You simply place a filled V-Go on your skin, press a button to insert a small needle, and you are ready for your day. Click 2 other buttons to deliver insulin at mealtimes. With each click for mealtime insulin, V-Go delivers 2 units of insulin. You can click as many times as you need for your mealtime dose up to 36 units a day. Wear V-Go for a full 24 hours, then remove and replace it with a new filled V-Go.

Please note: Your healthcare professional will discuss whether or not V-Go is right for you. You will be required to complete full product training before starting use with V-Go.

What about the needle?

When you use the V-Go, you never actually see the needle. The V-Go needle in the device is very small (30 gauge, 4.6 mm) and the floating technology helps ensure V-Go is comfortable to wear 24 hours a day. The adhesive and floating needle technology were designed to allow you to move without feeling the needle. Most people do find V-Go comfortable to wear. Sometimes it takes a day or two to find the right spot.

Will anyone see it?

V-Go has a slim design and low profile, so people shouldn’t see it unless you are wearing very tight clothes. You change V-Go every 24 hours, so you can find the appropriate spot that is right for you that day, depending on your activities and clothing.

What if I bump it?

With proper application, the adhesive helps ensure V-Go stays attached to your body day and night. Plus, its low profile means V-Go is unlikely to be knocked off. Floating needle technology limits any sensation of the needle, even if it’s bumped.

Can I wear it while sleeping?

Yes! V-Go is designed to give you insulin for 24 hours and should be worn while you are sleeping and all day.

Can I shower with it on?

Yes! V-Go has been designed to be worn during all of your normal daily activities and has been tested in water to depths of 1 metre.

Do I have to wear it in the same spot?

No. You should apply V-Go to a new spot at least an inch away from where you inserted the needle the previous day. Because you change the spot every 24 hours, you can choose the place that works for your clothing and activities that day.

What type of insulin can I use with V-Go?

A U-100 fast-acting insulin should be used with V-Go. Please refer to the V-Go user guide for more information and consult your healthcare professional to see which product is right for you.
